Once an asteroid site is confirmed as a target following a surveying mission, mining spacecraft will be deployed to gather the resources from the asteroid and return them to the refining platform. This hardware will be contracted out to existing companies such as Planetary Resources and Deep Space Industries who are already underway in developing these spacecraft and working towards changing current international law to allow for such activities.
