Cpt Bryan Maher is the 50th Operations Group (OG), Standardization and Evaluation (OGV) Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) III Senior Evaluator. He is a 2013 graduate of the United States Air Force Officer Training School, Maxwell AFB, AL. Lt Maher has been married to Rebecca Maher (Overland Park, KS) for 7 years; they have two children, Emma (4) and Leah (1). He pursued a Masters degree after undergrad; his thesis focused on snake assemblages in native prairie patches within eastern Kansas. Lt Maher was a letterman in cross-country (8k races) and track (800m and 1500m) at Simpson College. He is originally from Baxter, Iowa, where his father (Bill – 66) and mother (Paula – 65) reside; his sister (Brenna – 32) lives in Iowa City, IA. He is a two-time Iowa state champion in the 4×800 meter relay (1A – 1997, 2A – 1998). In high school, Lt Maher participated in track, cross-country, and basketball. He is a proud Chicago Cubs fan. He is also an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan…GO HAWKS!
