The LEO Speedwagon concept is a project of several phases to construct a fully automated fuel refinery and refueling platform located in low earth orbit designed to refuel spacecraft to support expansion of sustainable space operations within the Earth and trans-lunar space. These phases consist of:
- Proof of concept of extraction operations
- Acquisition /construction of a space refueling station
- Modification of refueling platform
- Proof of concept of Refueling Operations
- Continuous automated fuel refining and space craft servicing.
The first four phases will be subject of this paper.
